As Is 1950s Burlesque Style Satin Leotard - Size 8 Sexy 50s Baton Twirler Style Costume Bodysuit with Fringe & Sequins - White Red Blue

As is 1950s satin burlesque style leotard in fair condition (see Condition Detail below). This one-piece bodysuit is white satin to the front, elasticized cotton in back. It has a halter shoulder strap (not functional and broken in multiple places) and a flirty line of red sequins & royal blue fringe at the hip. There's a single metallic red dot applied to either hip. This 50s satin costume was likely meant for a baton twirler or similar... best as a restoration project today.

Shows its age inside and out, best for a costume and ideally would be restored first; has breaks, knots, missing pieces, and discoloration to the satin shoulder straps; small slight scuffs and hints of cloudiness to the satin, with light pink dye transfer to far right torso that is mild in color but widespread and notable; a scant ink mark at front torso; the fringe was added with hand-sewing after it was made and restricts the hip measurement (would fit larger if the fringe were removed, note that it's a vintage size 18); the metallic discs at the hips were crudely sewn by hand and are peeling apart; faint beige age dapples throughout the cotton jersey knit and muslin facings; an obvious red marker dot at inside back neckline edge on the cotton jersey knit, not visible to outside; all elastic is nice and stretchy
