Rare 1950s Novelty Figural Purse - Tiki Hut & Native Drummer Scene - Raffia Roof Lid - Hand Painting - Kitsch 50s Summer Resort Hand Bag
$ 450.00
So rare, so fantastic! This 1950s novelty basket purse is actually a tiki hut with a handsome native drummer sitting outside his hand-painted front door. He's carefully painted as well in a pleasantly primitive manner, with a real fur skirt and chenille headband. The tiki hut has a felt grass border, raffia roof lid and a terrific shield to the back. Over all this detail, an arched pair of "banana" leaves creates a very clever handbag handle.
