A beautiful 1940s evening gown, rare to find in a strapless design! This late 40s formal dress has antique-inspired lace banding the V-point neckline and in a sweeping curve to the full-skirted hem. It's a boned bodice with a slight drop waist seam, and a very full skirt richly gathered to the waist. Lace of skirt has an invert V -point at center front, and this dress is fully faced in taffeta.

Overall in very good condition for its age and quite wearable, the lace has slight beige toning to the edges and side seams of neckline that give an antiqued effect, the lower front skirt has four 1/4-inch holes just above the lace that are easily lost in the skirt's fullness, the lace V-point at center front skirt has a subtle patched area near the V, inside the skirt lining are 5-6 black taffeta patches, nothing obvious when worn
