Size 6 1930s Evening Dress - Gorgeous 30s 40s Gray, Teal & Pink Floral Formal Gown with Beaded Swag Neckline - Bolero Style Strapless Silk

$ 325.00

Fantastic 30s formal gown from the golden days of glamour! This early 1940s evening dress has a hand-stitched ruched bodice with a sweetheart neckline edged in candy-pink glass beads. The heavily beaded panel at the sides and back is almost like a bolero shrug, forming a hint of a sleeve and an elegant swag to the back of the strapless design. This gown has a sweeping A-line skirt in four gores, lavishly full and heavenly for the most formal of events!

Condition Detail
In beautiful shape overall, probably worn once, with some fragility under the arms from perspiration; the zipper is vintage but does not appear to be original; there are several hand repaired patches (1-inch long each) where the swag attaches to front bodice, these are barely noticeable and subtle as possible, these are the most damaged areas but overall not a detraction as they'd be under the arms when worn; a single 1/2-inch faint beige dot in the mid-skirt, also hard to find/notice; likely would need to be altered to fit or worn with double-sided tape due to its unique construction

Washing Instructions
Dry clean, preferably by a cleaner experienced with vintage & antique clothing

Please note: All measurements (bust - waist - hip) are the maximum body measurements that will fit the item. These measurements already have ease subtracted and they are not actual fabric widths. To get actual fabric widths add one inch at the bust - one inch at the waist and two inches at the hip.
