Size 6 Film Noir Cocktail Dress - 1950s Style Avant Garde Black Velvet Formal Dress - Asymmetric Sheer Black Chiffon Shoulder Cape - Bust 34

A gorgeous black velvet dress with dramatic avant garde styling! This 50s style cocktail dress was actually made decades later, though you'd never know it by its authentic look and feel. It's a 1980s reprisal of a 50s design, with the effect of a bare-shoulder cased in a sheer chiffon sleeve to the wearer's left. There's another layer here as well, a half-cape that falls to the back (or over the left sleeve), full of vintage drama. This dress is a tailored hourglass with slim sleeves, a fitted waist seam and light gathers to the skirt. Has hidden waist pockets and a full lining.

Very nice, the velvet is like new, the sheer shoulder has a single 1/8-inch hole (pictured) that would be hidden under the cape-like panel, 2-3 minuscule snags to the cape itself, nothing noticed when worn; the inside of back neck lining has a single penpoint hole, invisible to outside
