A rare 1950s resort outfit in wonderful details! This paisley-print jacket and pant was made in Acapulco for the tourist trade, with chic play clothes detail. Jacket has a wing lapel, short sleeves and top-stitching with a front placket that buttons open (or could wrap and button closed at the waist). Pant has a tapered waist and slightly belled legs with button accents to the slit hems and contrast cuffs. Late 40s to early 50s.

Scarlet red & white cotton canvas cross-woven with a striated effect; matching red, black and ivory cotton paisley print poplin with a handkerchief effect; pure white synthetic canvas (probably a rayon or acetate blend)
Closure
Jacket has functional self buttons at either side of the waist and buttons to interior as well, making it possible to wrap the waist closed; pant has a center back metal zipper and hook/eye at waist

Beautiful condition, just lightly worn, has been restored to this great condition; the pants hook/eye has mild rust to inside back waist
Washing Instructions
Jacket: Cold hand wash, shape and dry flat until damp, press on medium-high setting
Pant: Warm hand wash, shape and dry flat, press on low-medium setting
