An exquisitely hand-sewn needlework scene of a mandolin player and young lady circa the 18th century! This micro needlepoint purse has antique styling from the 1930s, displaying an identical outdoor scene front and back, framed in pastel hand-sewn flowers. The metal frame has gorgeous enameled floral & leaf patterns, with a hinged clasp and dainty chain. Lined in acetate taffeta with a gathered pocket inside.

Condition Detail
Very fine, the needlepoint is like new, one enamel daisy has tan hairlines, the glass gems have rubbing to the topmost edges, the lining has dusty discolor, very mild greenish discolor to a few places on the metal chain
